Prerequisite of the Vehicle
- Must have a clean title, 2020 and after, mileage is under 80,000 miles. Regular maintenance like engine oil change, air filter change, brake pads changes, annual safety inspection, rain wipers should be current and up to date. For vehicles that do no meet the criteria, we may take in on a case by case basis
- Free of smoke, odor, weed, vaping smell
- Tire should be in good working condition with the right air pressure and all thread no less than 5/32 inches in depth;
- All interior and exterior lights should be functional and in good working condition
- Owner should maintain personal vehicle insurance throughout the service agreement
- Owner to prepare fitting all-weather mats for the vehicle
Our Management Service
- Onboarding Fee: There are no upfront fees for you to start today, We charge a startup fee of $350 but that is deducted from your Turo earnings. The owner agrees to pay $300 of one-time setup fee for car wash, interior detailing, GPS tracking device, laminated insurance card, amenities kit, car phone holder, USB connectivity cord, professional car photography (15-20 pictures), lockbox (if needed) and Turo/s annual vehicle inspection. Any maintenance related or missing required items, we are happy to help with set up and will submit corresponding expenses for reimbursement.
- Monthly fees: $80/month for parking, $9/month for GPS tracking software fee, $90/month for commercial comprehensive off trip insurance
- Length of Service: The default agreement length is 12 months and above. If the duration is less than six months, certain onboarding charge may apply depending on the car condition if the owner decides to re-enroll into our Turo managed service program.
- Listing: Your car will be listed with no restrictions, and available for instant booking.
- Earning split: We keep 30% of your Vehicle's earning. Turo earning is defined as host’s earning from trip price after discount, plus last minute boost pricing and excessive distance reimbursement. It excludes earnings from Extras, Delivery Fees, Cleaning Violation, Smoking Violation, gas reimbursement and gas reimbursement fee. Payouts start on the 2nd month and are paid out by the 15th of every month.
- Our daily operational Service: Dedicated Turo listing page setup with professional description and photos; Comprehensive guest communications throughout trip reservations including post-trip feedback; Comprehensive car condition pictures taken pre-trip and post-trip; Professional car cleaning pre and post trips including vacuuming, car wash and sanitization; Delivery to airport and popular locations in town (greatly your boost earning); Communication with owner on rental performance and car condition; Communication with Turo on claims handling; Regular car maintenance handling like engine oil change (Fee Apply); In case of damage or mechanical issue, repair estimates gathering; In case of damage or mechanical issue, repair logistics, facilitation and communication with designated shop.
Insurance Requirement
- When the vehicle is rented out on Turo, the vehicle will be protected by Turo’s Car Sharing Agreement. Our default insurance protection plan is 80 on Turo platform which acts as a balance of revenue and protection. Reference detailed Insurance & vehicle protection here.
- When the vehicle is outside Turo’s rental trips, parked or driven by the owner, the car is protected by the owner’s car insurance
- We can include your vehicle into our Off-trip insurance for a fee. (Monthly coverage starts at $89 per vehicle for liability and damage insurance, and $56 per vehicle for liability coverage only. Plus, get up to a 10% renewal discount if your vehicle is booked over 60% of the time.)
